Time Management Tips

1. Admit multitasking is bad
For people who didn't grow up watching TV, typing out instant messages and doing homework all at the same time, multitasking is deadly. But it decreases everyone's productivity, no matter who they are. 20-year-olds are less likely to feel the rigours by demands to multitasks, but young people still have a loss of productivity from multitasking. So try limit it...

2. Make it easy to get started
The problem when it comes to projects is not usually finishing them. Rather, it is having to start them. Try breaking the project into chunks. This will be easier as it is not as overwhelming when you take it on as a whole.

3. Dare to be slow
Remember that a good time manager actually responds to something more slowly than a bad time manager would. For example, someone who is doing the highest priority task is probably not answering incoming email while they're doing it. There are more important tasks than processing email. Processing one's work and planning one's work are critical tasks.

4. Focus
Concentrate only on one goal at a time. Otherwise, if while dealing with something you think everything you can do after (tomorrow, the rest of week, next month, the rest of your life), most likely you will get bored and disappointed. It is like everytime you eat you think all meals you must eat in your life. The bored ness is guaranteed only with the thought.

5. Say "NO"
Learn to say "NO" in other activities requests, people who utilize your time (unless indeed that very moment in necessay for you to help them). Try to avoid unnecessary interruptions from others.
